Two Bank Officials Abducted in Kalat, Government Vehicle Seized in Mastung
Two senior MCB Bank officials were reportedly abducted at an armed checkpoint in Balochistan’s Kalat district on October 2, 2026, while travelling from Khuzdar to Quetta.
Haji Lashkar Khan Bangulzai, the bank’s regional head of operations for Khuzdar, and Khalid Gichki, its regional head of sales, were intercepted near Rodeenjo at around 3pm. Armed men had set up a checkpoint and were stopping and searching vehicles.
The officials were taken along with their driver and vehicle. The driver was later released, but the officials’ whereabouts were unknown at the time of reporting.
In a separate incident in Mastung, armed men reportedly visited the Sui Gas zonal office twice and took a government vehicle and its driver. The driver was subsequently released, while the vehicle was taken away. Those responsible for either incident had not been identified.
