The Service is dedicated to preserving and promoting the history, culture, heritage, people, and current issues of Balochistan, Pakistan—including articles, videos, audios, books, missing persons awareness, community polls, and public-service mapping.

By using the Service you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Account/Registration Data (required to access chat, favourites, services map, missing-persons screens, uploading content, or submitting articles): name, username, email address, phone number (optional), password, profile picture, and any additional profile details you choose to add.
  • User-Generated Content: – Articles, videos, audios, and books you upload or submit. – Missing-persons reports (name, age, photograph, last-seen location, description, contact details of the reporter, and any other information you provide). – Poll responses and form submissions. – Chat messages and media files (photos, documents, or other non-audio/video-call media) shared with other users. – Favourite items you save.
  • Location Data: Precise or approximate location when you use the “Nearby Services” map (hospitals, schools, police stations, colleges, etc.). You can disable location access in your device settings at any time.

B. Information Collected Automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, device model, operating system, browser type, app version, unique device identifiers, and usage statistics (pages viewed, time spent, clicks).
  • Cookies and similar technologies (on the website) for authentication, analytics, and personalised experience.
  • Analytics and crash reports from third-party tools.

C. Information from Third Parties

  • If you register or log in through Google, Apple, or any other social provider, we receive basic profile information from them (subject to their privacy policies).
  • Map data providers (e.g., Google Maps) may share limited location-related information when you use the services map.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (including displaying public articles, videos, audios, missing-persons lists, and books).
  • Enable core features: chat, favourites, services map, content upload, and missing-persons reporting.
  • Moderate content (especially missing-persons reports) to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws.
  • Communicate with you (account verification, important notices, support).
  • Conduct internal research, analytics, and service improvement.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • Show you relevant nearby public services on the map.

Special note on missing-persons data: Information you submit about missing persons is treated as public awareness content and may be displayed on both the website and app to help locate them. By submitting such data you confirm you have the legal right and consent (from the family or appropriate authority) to share it publicly.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

We may share information in these limited situations:

  • With other users: – Public content (articles, videos, audios, missing-persons reports, polls) is visible to everyone. – Chat messages and shared media are visible to the participants you chat with.
  • Service Providers: Hosting providers, cloud storage (for videos/audios/media), analytics companies, map providers (Google Maps), and push-notification services. These companies are contractually required to protect your data.
  • Legal & Safety Reasons: When required by Pakistani law, court order, or to protect the safety of users or the public (especially in missing-persons cases).
  • Business Transfers: In the event of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred under the same protections.

4. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational security measures (encryption in transit, secure servers, access controls) to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.

  • Account data and chat history: retained while your account is active or as needed for legal purposes.
  • Public content (articles, videos, missing-persons reports): retained indefinitely unless removed for legal or moderation reasons.
  • Location data: not stored after the map session ends (unless you explicitly save a location).
  • You may delete your account at any time, which will delete or anonymise your personal profile data (public content you created may remain visible with your username removed where technically possible).

6. Your Rights and Choices

You can:

  • Access, correct, or delete your personal data by contacting us.
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential processing (e.g., marketing, analytics).
  • Opt out of location sharing at any time via device settings.
  • Request deletion of your account (subject to legal retention requirements).

Residents of Pakistan have rights under the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and other applicable laws. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected such data, we will delete it. Missing-persons reports concerning minors must be submitted by parents, guardians, or authorised authorities only.

Our servers may be located outside Pakistan (including in the United States or Europe). When we transfer data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent measures) to ensure your data receives the same level of protection.
