Father and son killed by Pakistani forces’ raid in Zamuran
A tragic incident occurred in Kech district’s Zamuran area, where a father and son were found dead following a military operation by the Frontier Corps. The operation, which took place overnight, involved the detention of several residents and the raiding of multiple homes in the region.
Local residents reported that the Frontier Corps personnel carried out the raid in the village of Dambani. They accused the forces of violating the sanctity of private homes and subjecting residents to harassment during the operation, which they described as aggressive and intrusive.
Subsequently, the bodies of Kohda Pir Muhammad and his son Abdullah, who had been in custody, were recovered. The community identified the deceased as residents of the area and expressed concern over the circumstances leading to their deaths.
Residents criticized the conduct of Pakistani forces, describing it as unconstitutional and alarming. They urged the government to take action to restrain military personnel from such conduct, highlighting that non-local forces often ignore local traditions and sensitivities during night raids.
Additionally, the community voiced their discomfort over the methods used during these operations, particularly the use of searchlights on homes, which they said has instilled fear among residents. Pakistani authorities have not yet issued any official statement regarding the allegations or the incident.
